Chetan Sharma convenes The SSAVE Project and sits on its Global Governing Council. One role assembles the room. The other answers to it.

A chair presides. A founder owns. A convenor brings people into a room and takes responsibility for what happens in it. That is the work: bringing government, industry, expertise and community around the same evidence, holding the conversation to something useful, and making sure what is agreed is recorded rather than dispersed. On the Council, where direction and standards for the platform are set, his seat carries no more weight than any other. The convening is his. The direction is shared.

He is equipped for the first by a career spent doing a version of it on air. Over twenty five years in prime-time television across NDTV, India Today, Star News, Zee News, Al Jazeera, Bloomberg and the BBC, in senior editorial and leadership roles including Chief Executive Officer, Managing Editor and Prime. He launched India's first national English news channel from the South.

That discipline transfers directly. Drawing a straight answer out of a room that would prefer to give a prepared one. Holding ministers and chief executives to the same standard in the same hour. Keeping a conversation legible to everyone listening. SSAVE's sessions ask for exactly that.

He founded Ahead Media Group, the communications house that convenes The SSAVE Project, and Edumate.TV, an education platform that has hosted over five thousand conversations. He trained at London Business School, Harvard Business School and Stanford University.
